Each fabric in our botanical collection is hand-dyed using natural techniques, resulting in one-of-a-kind tones with subtle depth. Even in our solid colours, you may notice delicate shifts in shade or tiny "perfectly imperfect" marks that reflect the beauty of small-batch, artisan dyeing. These unique qualities make each fabric a true individual, with a story woven into its fibres.

When you choose Eleventh House Fabrics, you’re embracing the charm of handcrafted artistry, where every piece is created with care and reflects the essence of natural dyeing. Please remember that these natural variations are part of what makes your fabric truly special.

Marigold is a natural dye made from the vibrant petals of marigold flowers (Tagetes species). It produces a spectrum of sunny yellows, golden tones, and soft oranges, depending on the dyeing process and mordants used. Known for its brightness and warmth, marigold dye is a sustainable and accessible option, often used in traditional and contemporary textile practices.

Madder is one of the oldest natural dyes, prized for its rich, earthy red hues that range from soft pinks to deep brick tones. Derived from the roots of the *Rubia tinctorum* plant, madder has been used for centuries in textiles across the world. Its vibrant, warm colours are long-lasting and pair beautifully with other natural dyes. At Eleventh House Fabrics, we embrace madder’s timeless beauty to create unique, naturally dyed fabrics that celebrate tradition and sustainability.
